Allegheny Mineral
Headquartered in Kittanning, Pennsylvania, Allegheny Mineral Corp. provides crushed stone, industrial rock dust and agricultural lime to Pennsylvania, Ohio and West Virginia. In 2011, the company was listed as one of the 100 largest aggregates producers in the nation (U.S. Geological Survey, March 2011).
Allegheny National Forest
The Allegheny National Forest (ANF), Pennsylvania’s only National Forest, is approximately 517,000 acres and includes land in Elk, Forest, McKean and Warren counties in the northwestern corner of the State. About 463,000 acres are forested, 42,000 acres are non-forest, and 11,000 acres are covered by water (primarily the Allegheny Reservoir). The ANF is administratively divided into two Ranger Districts: Bradford and Marienville.

American Fly Fishing Trade Association
AFFTA — The American Fly Fishing Trade Association – is the sole trade organization for the fly-fishing industry. Our mission is to promote the sustained growth of the fly fishing industry. To that end, our efforts are focused on achieving three strategic objectives: growing demand for fly-fishing products by attracting an ever expanding audience to the sport, promoting better business practices and professional development opportunities for members, and providing a clear, loud voice to elected officials and government agencies on issues ranging from the protection and rehabilitation of fly-fishing habitats to tax related issues important to the fly-fishing community.

American Sportfishing Association
The American Sportfishing Association (ASA), the sportfishing industry’s trade association, was created in 1933 to represent tackle manufacturers’ business interests. Since then, the association has evolved from representing the interests of just tackle manufacturers to championing the entire sportfishing community. The association is funded through membership dues and income generated by its annual trade show and its consumer-based fishing and outdoor sports shows. As the nation’s recreational fishing trade association, ASA supports the interests of hundreds of businesses, agencies and organizations and is the champion for the sportfishing industry. ASA’s members include sportfishing and boating manufacturers and their representatives, allied manufacturers, independent and chain outdoor retail stores, state fish and wildlife agencies, conservation organizations, federal land and water management agencies, angler advocacy groups, outdoor media groups and journalists.
Androscoggin River Watershed Council
The mission of the Androscoggin River Watershed Council is to continuously improve environmental quality and promote healthy and prosperous communities in the Androscoggin Watershed.
Androscoggin Valley Council of Governments
Androscoggin, Franklin and Oxford Counties, located in Western Maine, includes 4,429 square miles covered with significant natural resources (woods, fields, mountains, lakes, and rivers). There are 80 communities located within this tri-county area with a total estimated population of 196,303 in 2010.
Atlantic Coastal Fish Habitat Partnership
The Atlantic Coastal Fish Habitat Partnership is a coast-wide collaborative effort to accelerate the conservation of habitat for native Atlantic coastal, estuarine-dependent, and diadromous fishes. We are a Partnership consisting of resource managers, scientists and professionals representing 30 different state, federal, tribal, non-governmental and other entities. We work in areas stretching from Maine to the Florida Keys, and from the headwaters of coastally draining rivers to the edge of the continental shelf, with a focus in estuarine environments.
BAMR
The Bureau of Abandoned Mine Reclamation administers and oversees the Abandoned Mine Reclamation Program in Pennsylvania. The bureau is responsible for resolving problems such as mine fires, mine subsidence, dangerous highwalls, open shafts and portals, mining impacted water supplies and other hazards which have resulted from past coal mining practices in accordance with requirements established by the federal Office of Surface Mining under authority of the Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act (PL 95-87, as amended).
Bureau of Land Management
The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) may best be described as a small agency with a big mission: To sustain the health, diversity, and productivity of America’s public lands for the use and enjoyment of present and future generations. It administers more public land – over 245 million surface acres – than any other Federal agency in the United States. Most of this land is located in the 12 Western states, including Alaska. The BLM also manages 700 million acres of sub-surface mineral estate throughout the nation.
Canaan Valley Institute
Since 1995, Canaan Valley Institute has been dedicated to providing Central Appalachia with clean rivers and streams. We adamantly believe clean water is vital to encourage healthy, vibrant, and sustainable communities throughout the region. At CVI, we strive to restore compromised land and streams to the natural conditions that are healthier for plants, animals, and people. We work with communities to improve sanitation through removal of straight pipes that dump raw sewage into streams and failing septic systems, which raises the standard of living and increases local morale. Finally, we work with local schools to enhance science education and provide meaningful outdoor educational experiences for students and teachers. CVI is the 501c(3) sponsor of the Eastern Brook Trout Joint Venture
Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection
The Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) is charged with conserving, improving and protecting the natural resources and the environment of the state of Connecticut as well as making cheaper, cleaner and more reliable energy available for the people and businesses of the state. The agency is also committed to playing a positive role in rebuilding Connecticut’s economy and creating jobs – and to fostering a sustainable and prosperous economic future for the state.
DOI Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement
We are a bureau within the United States Department of the Interior. The Office of Surface Mining Reclamation and Enforcement (OSM) is organized with Headquarters located in Washington DC, three regional offices – the Appalachian, Mid-Continent, and Western regional offices. The regional offices are comprised of Area and Fields offices. OSM is responsible for establishing a nationwide program to protect society and the environment from the adverse effects of surface coal mining operations, underwhich OSM is charged with balancing the nation’s need for continued domestic coal production with protection of the environment.

Born in the wake of elevated concern about environmental pollution, EPA was established on December 2, 1970 to consolidate in one agency a variety of federal research, monitoring, standard-setting and enforcement activities to ensure environmental protection. Federation of Fly Fishers
The Federation of Fly Fishers is a 46 year old international non-profit organization dedicated to the betterment of the sport of fly fishing through Conservation, Restoration and Education. The Federation of Fly Fishers and its Councils are the only organized advocate for fly fishers on a regional, national and international level.
Georgia Department of Natural Resources
The Department of Natural Resources has statewide responsibilities for the management and conservation of Georgia’s natural and cultural resources. Most of this work is conducted by DNR’s six operating divisions which include: Coastal Resources Division, Environmental Protection Division, Historic Preservation Division, Sustainability Division, Parks, Recreation & Historic Sites Division and Wildlife Resources Division. The Board of Natural Resources, which is appointed by the Governor, oversees rulemaking for the agency.

New York State Department of Environmental Conservation

North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission
The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission is the state government agency created by the General Assembly in 1947 to conserve and sustain the state’s fish and wildlife resources through research, scientific management, wise use, and public input. Trout Unlimited
Today TU is a national organization with more than 140,000 volunteers organized into about 400 chapters from Maine to Montana to Alaska. This dedicated grassroots army is matched by a respected staff of lawyers, policy experts and scientists, who work out of more than 30 offices nationwide. These conservation professionals ensure that TU is at the forefront of fisheries restoration work at the local, state and national levels.

US Fish and Wildlife Service
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is a bureau within the Department of the Interior. Our mission is to work with others to conserve, protect and enhance fish, wildlife and plants and their habitats for the continuing benefit of the American people.
USDA Forest Service (Eastern Region)
The Eastern Region is rich in water. More than 10,000 lakes (with nearly half on national forests), 15,000 miles of streams, and two million acres of wetlands provide clean drinking water for communities, healthy habitat for fish and wildlife, and recreation opportunities for millions of visitors. Almost half the nation's 45 million anglers fish the waters of the 20-state Eastern Region each year. Yet, when the East was first settled, rivers were straightened and dammed, and wetlands were drained. Today the region works hard with neighbors and partners to restore these watersheds.
USDA Forest Service (Southern Region)
The Southern Region of the Forest Service, U.S. Department of Agriculture, is a dynamic collection of lands, cared for by people as a legacy for future generations. We believe that benefits to people flow from healthy land, that healthy land is conserved through wise management, and that management is most effective when shared. The Southern Region encompasses 13 States—from Virginia to Florida and Oklahoma – as well as Puerto Rico. Also known as Region 8, the Southern Region is one of nine geographical regions within the Forest Service. There are 16 units within the Southern Region, including 14 National Forests and two special units.
Vermont Department of Fish and Wildlife
The Vermont Fish and Wildlife department has over 125 staff members committed to five divisions. Fisheries, Wildlife, Law Enforcement, Outreach and Administration. We are biologists, game wardens, educational coordinators and support staff. We all believe in our MISSION: To protect and conserve our fish, wildlife, plants and their habitats for the people of Vermont.
Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries
The Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries' mission is: to manage Virginia's wildlife and inland fish to maintain optimum populations of all species to serve the needs of the Commonwealth; to provide opportunity for all to enjoy wildlife, inland fish, boating and related outdoor recreation and to work diligently to safeguard the rights of the people to hunt, fish and harvest game as provided for in the Constitution of Virginia; to promote safety for persons and property in connection with boating, hunting and fishing; to provide educational outreach programs and materials that foster an awareness of and appreciation for Virginia's fish and wildlife resources, their habitats, and hunting, fishing, and boating opportunities. VDGIF is responsible for the management of inland fisheries, wildlife, and recreational boating for the Commonwealth of Virginia. The Department has an operational budget of approximately $55 million.

Wild Trout Flyrodders
One of the beauties of the Catskills is how much wildlife and how few people reside here. And yet how relatively close it is to both New York City and other major regional population centers…close enough for a good number of weekend fly fishers. These facts make the Catskills a poor place for a traditional fly fishing club, but a great place for a club like ours…a club that meets on weekends during the fly fishing season so members can fish the best spots afterwards! That’s our concept, and it seems to work well for us. We have members who live near the near our rivers, guides who work on our rivers, weekend or second home owners who work outside the Catskills, etc. So our members come from an area that includes but also stretches beyond the Catskills, from New York City, from Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Upstate New York. And while our FFF member e-mail list exceeds 200, our active member list is small but growing. We look forward to seeing you at one of our meetings.
